Under Pressure: Queen & David Bowie Sing-Along

Presented by SecretFormula.

In the '80s, two titans of music came together to create one of rock's most enduring songs, a soaring anthem about the power of love to bring people together and lift them up. Now SecretFormula is reuniting these rock gods through the song that brought them together in the first place at Under Pressure: The Queen & David Bowie Sing-Along.

We’re putting on one glamtastic Sing-Along featuring Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, Queen Bitch, We Are the Champions, Space Oddity, We Will Rock You, Modern Love, Rebel Rebel and more! We might even throw in a little Bowie’s in Space or Ice Ice Baby to round it all off. All with the words subtitled on the screen for the entire crowd to Sing-Along to - no microphones, no waiting to sing.

- Wear you finest lightning bolt makeup and dress to impress for a chance to win free drinks and tickets in the Costume Contest (Wear an eye patch! Grow a sweet ‘stache! Dress like a clown! Squeeze into some tight leather!)

- Enjoy themed drinks like the Major Tom, the Mercury, the Goblin King, the Fat Bottomed Girl and more!

The Dollop Podcast

The Dollop Podcast

The Dollop Podcast: History buff and comedian Dave Anthony was considering starting a new podcast in 2014. His idea was to write up an unknown story from American history and read it to a different comedian each week. Having not heard of the story before, Dave hoped the comedian’s reaction would be hilarious. He gave it a go and his first guest was comedian Gareth Reynolds. They immediately clicked and fans flooded social media telling Dave to never change the co-host. And he didn’t.

Sticking to the formula of Dave reading Gareth a story he has never heard, The Dollop quickly shot up the charts. Fans of both comedy and history were drawn to the wild stories and quick improv skills of Gareth. With millions of downloads, The Dollop has become a regular presence on top of the podcast charts, as well as selling out shows in both the US and Australia.

Witch Taint: The Black Metal Dialogues LIVE! w/ Dave Hill & Phil Costello

Witch Taint: The Black Metal Dialogues LIVE! w/ Dave Hill & Phil Costello

With Dave Hill and Phil Costello

“Blackest metal and droll humor combine for nonstop laughs”

-The Austin Chronicle

Until the Light Takes Us meets The Vagina Monologues

-LA Weekly

“Shit got weird.”

-Metal Assault

“If Catfish tried to go metal, it would very likely fall short of the true story and infernal comedy of Witch Taint: The Black Metal Dialogues LIVE!”

-The Comedy Bureau

In 2004, comedian Dave Hill, a grown man living in New York City, began posing as Lance, a teenager living with his parents in Gary, Indiana, who also just so happened to be the lead singer and sole member of the most extreme, brutal, and Satanic black metal band of all-time, WitchTaint. As Lance, Dave began emailing with a Norwegian black metal record label owner in Oslo named Saiitham in hopes of getting signed to the label on the strength of one excruciatingly bad song called “Necrodreamraper.” Their lengthy e-mail conversation, now known among the faithful as the Black Metal Dialogues (www.theblackmetaldialogues.com), quickly became the stuff of legend and is considered by many to be the most infernal, extreme, and downright unholy electronic mail correspondence of all-time.

In “Witch Taint: The Black Metal Dialogues Live!”, this infernal and 100% real email chain is brought life by comedians Dave Hill and Phil Costello, complete with corpse paint, ill-fitting black clothing, disturbing videos, and- if all goes as planned- a live and mildly irritated goat, culminating in a live performance by the mighty Witch Taint that will probably scar you for life. This promises to be the most extreme and kvlt thing that has ever happened ever. If you think you can handle it, please come. However, in the event that you have a preexisting health condition that is aggravated by things that are evil, extreme, infernal, brutal, kvlt, unholy, and/or just sort of negative in general, you will most likely be sent screaming into the night until you eventually grow tired and collapse in a ditch somewhere.

You have been warned.

Brooklyn Comedy Film Festival Presents: Neighborhood Food Drive

w/ a post-screening Q&A with director Jerzy Rose

Convinced that hosting a lavish charity fundraiser will improve the public image of their unpopular restaurant, two women hire an intern to help them plan and execute a neighborhood food drive. Despite their somewhat good intentions, the team quickly succumbs to petulance and laziness. They make repeat attempts—trying to maintain positive attitudes—but cosmic maladies cripple their efforts and they soon find themselves doomed.

written by Jerzy Rose, Halle Butler, and Mike Lopez
starring Lyra Hill (Crimes Against Humanity)
Bruce Bundy (The Hunger Games, The Greggs)
Ruby McCollister (In the Realms of the Unreal)

"A pertinent social commentary full of genuine hilarity and frank shock."

Brooklyn Comedy Film Festival Presents: Snowy Bing Bongs Across the North Star Combat Zone

w/ a special LIVE appearance by Coccoon Central Dance Team and more surprise guests

This blissfully bonkers whatzit from unclassifiable dance-comedy trio Cocoon Central Dance Team is part psychotropic performance art spectacle, part absurdist sketch show. The three Bing Bongs—Tallie Medel, Sunita Mani & Eleanore Pienta—lounge about, pass gas, and periodically break into wondrously strange dance routines, with outer space interludes, a serious consideration of doctor boners, and a 90s-style girl group meltdown along the way. It all plays like a live action cartoon piped in from a cotton-candy-colored alternate universe.
